Symbiosis

Symbiosis keeps design, print, manufacture, storage and installation under one roof, so your stand is produced by the team that builds it on site. Its head office is at Linen Hall on Regent Street in London and its workshops are at the Alexander Bell Centre, West Portway Industrial Estate, Andover, minutes from the M3. The founders marked 20 years in 2023, and Companies House shows Symbiosis UK Limited was incorporated on 6 March 2003. It sits in our stand design and build section with other firms building for London shows.

A reusable stand built on beMatrix

If you exhibit several times a year, you can have a custom stand built on the beMatrix aluminium frame system and reconfigured for different spaces. Symbiosis says it is one of only five companies in Europe with beMaster Plus status and holds one of the UK’s largest stocks of beMatrix frames, components and LEDskin panels, which it also hires to other stand builders. It added beMatrix Xtreme Solutions in 2023 for made-to-measure structures. A Stand Reuse Hub lets you carry key elements from one event to the next, and stand parts can be stored between shows.

Two-storey stands and meeting space

If your space is tight, a double deck stand gives you a second level for meetings or hospitality. Symbiosis says it has designed and built double deck stands across the UK, Europe and further afield for more than 15 years and runs a dedicated double deck site.

Print and cutting done in-house

Graphics are produced in its own workshop. The company has bought a Mimaki UJV55-320 roll-to-roll printer, a Kongsberg C60 digital cutting table and an EFI Pro 32r+ large format printer, and says it now prints 90% of its work to textile, which is lighter to ship and can be reused.

What it reports on waste

In 2025 Symbiosis was awarded Better Stands Gold certification across all its stands at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair, meaning every major element was reused or recycled. It reports zero waste to landfill, recycles 95% of its carpet and vinyl, uses FSC-approved timber for custom features and plans a fully electric fleet by 2028. It says it is on track for ESSA sustainability accreditation in 2026 and already holds ESSA health and safety accreditation.

Shows, clients and reach

Symbiosis has been a Clarion Gaming preferred stand supplier since 2011 and was appointed a Recommended Stand Contractor for ICE Barcelona. Clients quoted on its site include Sky Business, Kent Brushes and the Sifted London Summit, with stands at ExCeL London and the NEC. After the pandemic it returned with large projects at the Southampton International Boat Show and The Health and Safety Event 2021. A New York company, Symbiosis Global Inc, handles North American shows. Organisers can also hire its modern shell scheme, used at the Independent Schools Show and Sifted London Summit. If you are weighing shell scheme or space only, or preparing notes for briefing a stand builder, its FAQ asks for your objectives, timeline and budget first.
