Bett UK is an education technology exhibition and conference held in January at Excel London and organised by Hyve Group. It brings teachers, school and university leaders, government officials and charities together with suppliers of classroom hardware, learning software and school services. The organiser reports that the 2026 edition drew more than 37,000 attendees, including 14,000 education decision makers, and over 700 exhibitors from 130 countries.
Bett UK 2027 dates and opening times
The next edition runs from Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 January 2027. The Bett Arena opens at 08:30 on Wednesday and 08:45 on Thursday and Friday, and the exhibition floor opens at 10:00 daily. The show closes at 18:00 on the first two days and at 17:00 on Friday.
Tickets and who can attend
Registration is open. Staff of schools, colleges, universities, ministries and education authorities register free, as do charities, non-profit associations and accredited press. Students and apprentices over 18 have their own ticket, and under-18s must be with an adult; school group registration opens in September 2026. Resellers, distributors and integrators can apply for a free ticket, subject to an eligibility check.
Visitors who are not from an exhibiting company, an education institution, government, a charity, a reseller or an investor pay to attend. The organiser says paid tickets started at £325 in June 2026 and rise in steps to £750 on the door; the General Attendee ticket is currently listed at £475, and group tickets carry a 36% saving. The organiser advises registering before Monday 4 January 2027 to join programmes such as Connect @ Bett, TableTalks and Tech User Labs.
What is on the show floor
Exhibitors are grouped into zones:
- Equipment & Hardware: interactive whiteboards, screens, monitors, AR and VR, and AV kit
- Teaching & Learning Tech: assessment tools, learning platforms, apps and coding resources
- Management Solutions: management information systems, cybersecurity and data tools
- Education Show: furniture, recruitment, SEND, PE and wellbeing services
- Startup Zone for new edtech firms, and the Global Showcase for national ministries and industry bodies
- Ahead by Bett and the Higher Education Zone for university and college staff
Other features include the SEND Village, Kids Judge Bett, where children assess resources and suppliers, and the Bett Awards, produced with Besa. TableTalks, according to the organiser, involves over 1,000 educators in more than 135 roundtables, and Tech User Labs runs hands-on workshops and demos. The organiser lists over 400 speakers, including Sandi Toksvig and Professor Michael Wooldridge of the University of Oxford, and all sessions are CPD-accredited through The CPD Group. Every content theatre has a hearing loop.
Bett UK sits within the education and technology sector, alongside The Schools & Academies Show at NEC Birmingham on 18 November 2026 and the Nursery Management Show at Excel London on 27 November 2026.
Exhibiting
Exhibitors choose between the Teaching & Learning, Equipment & Hardware, Management Solutions and Higher Education zones. The organiser says 71% of education visitors are ready to buy. Through Connect @ Bett, exhibitors pick the institutions and governments they want to meet, and those buyers opt in to meetings at the show. Companies can enquire by form, download a brochure, or request the 2027 floorplan showing zones and available stand positions. Hyve Group also runs Spring Fair, from 7 February 2027 at NEC Birmingham. If you are new to exhibiting, see our notes on building an exhibition budget and choosing your first UK trade show.
Getting to Excel London
The show site recommends the Jubilee line to Canning Town, then the DLR to Prince Regent; the Elizabeth line and cable car are alternatives. Drivers can reach the venue from the M25, M11, A406 and A13. Parking is pay and display except the Royal Victoria multi-storey at the west end of the site. London City Airport is five minutes away by car or taxi, and the organiser offers discounted hotel rates. Overseas visitors needing a visa are advised to apply early, as the show follows the Christmas holidays. Other events in the capital are listed under trade shows in London, among them The London Book Fair at Excel London from 16 March 2027.
