ICC Wales

ICC Wales gives you a 4,000 sqm column-free Main Hall on the ground floor, a two-tier 1,500-seat auditorium and 15 meeting rooms holding 20 to 660 guests, just off junction 24 of the M4. ICC Wales is a purpose-built convention centre at Coldra Woods in Newport, set in woodland on the Celtic Manor Resort site. The venue says it runs to the ISO 14001 environmental standard.

Halls and spaces that scale to your event

You can size the Main Hall to your show. It splits into up to six sections and holds up to 4,100 people. It has a 9 metre ceiling, carpet, natural daylight, green rooms and a production office. In the auditorium your delegates get a desk and charging point at every seat and a hearing loop, across fixed tiered seating for 1,500, with 762 seats on the upper level and 738 on the lower. The auditorium also has the 210 sqm Aspect Bar, with floor-to-ceiling windows.

You can divide the Woodland Suite into up to three parts, and it opens onto terraces beside the trees. Rooms 2, 3 and 4 combine to seat 860 theatre style.

Loading and production access for exhibitors

You can load straight into both the hall and the auditorium from a dedicated parking area for production and exhibition vehicles. The Main Hall has two vehicle entry points and a loading bay for four lorries, and the auditorium adds stage-level production access, a production storage area and optional production packages. Getting there by road, rail and air

You can reach the venue by road in 23 minutes from Cardiff, 40 from Bristol and 1 hour 50 from Birmingham, the venue says. There are over 2,000 visitor spaces on site, 700 of them on levels -1 and -2, with a 2.1 m height limit. Parking is paid on site before leaving and cannot be pre-booked. The first hour is free, then £7 up to 5 hours, £12 up to 8, £16 up to 12 and £20 up to 24. Blue Badge holders also pay.

Newport station is 12 minutes away, and London Paddington about 95 minutes by train. As a conference delegate you can buy Great Western Railway returns between Paddington and Newport with example fares of £54 standard or £104 first class, with proof of attendance checked on board. Cardiff and Bristol airports are under an hour away. Newport Bus services use Chepstow Road, with the nearest stop a five-minute walk away.

Hotels within walking distance

You can stay within a 10-minute walk of the venue at the Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, Tŷ Newport or Coldra Court Hotel. Tŷ Newport is the venue’s partner hotel, an all-electric property with its own parking, and ICC Wales offers you 10% off stays booked through its website.

Shows and events you can attend

You can visit or exhibit at the Wales Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition, listed here for 25 February 2027. Over Christmas the Main Hall becomes The Great Skate indoor ice rink from 11 December 2026 to 2 January 2027. The venue says it hosted the Wales Investment Summit with the Welsh Government, welcoming 350 delegates from 29 countries.
