The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is an exhibition, conference and arena campus on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow. The venue lists five exhibition halls totalling 22,355 square metres, more than 30 meeting spaces and three auditoria across its campus, which also includes the SEC Armadillo and the OVO Hydro arena.
What exhibitors should know
- Audience reach: the venue says trade shows at the SEC are a way to reach Scottish businesses, and that 65% of Scotland’s population lives within an hour’s journey.
- Services: the SEC publishes in-house AV and staging, cleaning, branding and event management services, several of which are included in the organiser’s contract. Exhibitors should start with their organiser’s manual for what to order and from whom.
- Accommodation: the venue lists 1,500 hotel bedrooms on site and around 10,000 within 2km.
Getting there
The campus has its own railway station and is a five-minute taxi ride from Glasgow city centre, according to the venue. Event organisers describe it as about eight miles from Glasgow Airport, with bus routes along Exhibition Way, M8 access and a multi-storey car park on the east side of the campus.
