Who you will meet
You will be among manufacturing and engineering professionals, supply chain and logistics teams, procurement managers, technology specialists, business owners, policymakers and researchers, the audience the organiser lists. Visitors from operations, research, education and industry bodies with an interest in Welsh industry are also named. Our guide to choosing your first UK trade show sets out the questions to ask.
Exhibition and conference programme
You can cover advanced manufacturing, automation and robotics, logistics and supply chain, AI and digital transformation, skills and workforce, and sustainability and energy on one exhibition floor. According to the FAQ page, eight specialist stages cover these subjects:
- 3D printing and precision engineering
- Automation and robotics
- The future of work
- Lean, productivity and continuous improvement
- Renewable energy
- Supply chain and logistics
- Sustainability
- Digital transformation and AI
You can meet companies listed in the exhibitor directory on the official site, including Apex Dynamics (Midlands), Hunting, Rulmeca, Stabilus, Rausch UK, Machine Building Systems, GembaDocs, Enapps, the IASME Consortium, WH Kemp Electrics and the University of South Wales.
Show size
You can expect more than 150 exhibitors, more than 100 speakers and more than 2,500 attendees, going by the figures on the organiser’s home page. Ingenious Media also runs manufacturing events in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland, plus Manufacturing & Supply Chain West, and points to three editions of the Scottish show, in 2023, 2024 and 2025, as the background to the Welsh event.
Where you can meet people
You can hold meetings in the networking areas and food areas on the exhibition floor, which are the places set aside for them, as breakout rooms are not currently offered. A VIP section is also available, with access arranged through the event team. Visitors may not canvass exhibitors or sell to them on the floor; businesses that want to promote themselves are directed towards exhibiting or a partnership instead.
Exhibiting
You get confirmed availability, pricing and a written breakdown of what each package includes once you send an exhibitor enquiry form, which is how stand space is booked. The organiser asks for the products to be shown, preferred stand size, demonstration, power and access needs, target job functions, budget and staffing. You can demonstrate equipment, subject to a review of space, power, safety and delivery requirements. Our notes on building an exhibition budget and following up exhibition leads cover the planning involved.
Getting there
You can park on site at the venue, on a first-come, first-served basis. If you travel by rail, head to Newport and arrange an onward connection to ICC Wales by bus or taxi. The venue offers step-free access, accessible parking and wheelchair-accessible facilities, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Food is sold on site, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options planned.
