At MPTS you can see production, broadcast, post-production, audio and AI technology over two days in the Grand Hall at Olympia London, free if you work in the industry. MPTS, a two-day show for people who make, manage and deliver media content, quotes 13,876 visitors and 310 exhibitors and sponsors on its website. It started in 2016 as the Media Production Show. In 2022 it became the Media Production & Technology Show, and it now uses the short name MPTS. The organiser is Media Business Insight (MBI), which also publishes Broadcast, Broadcast Tech, Broadcast Sport, Broadcast Intelligence and Screen.

You can attend free as an industry professional, with the main seminar programme included.

Full visitor registration opens in December 2026. Until then, you can register your interest on the show website to get news of exhibitors, speakers and sessions. Specialist training is also on offer for a fee, with a separate ticket. MBI says details of the 2027 paid programme will follow.
Who visits and what is on show
The show is aimed at you if you work for a broadcaster, production company, post house or studio, or as a creator, technology specialist or freelancer. It covers large organisations, small firms and people who work on their own. Its stands cover production, broadcast, post-production, audio and AI, and the organiser lists more than 300 exhibitors and sponsors. If you work in the technology and security sector you may also want to look at TechEx Global, which is at Olympia from 3 February 2027.
Free seminar programme
You can attend more than 120 free sessions across eight theatres, MBI says. These are Keynote, Broadcast Technology, Production, Post Production, Audio, AI Media Zone, Creator Hub and the SMPTE Media Technology Conference Europe. The 2027 programme and speakers are due to be announced in February 2027. The 2026 programme gives an idea of the content:
- Nina Hartstone, a supervising sound editor, gave a keynote conversation about her career in film sound in the Audio Theatre.
- Sky and Zixi talked about the automated cloud workflow behind master control for live sport.
- BlueBolt showed how it recreated Piccadilly Circus and Ascot for the visual effects in the Downton Abbey film.
- YouTube UK & Ireland joined creators for a session on audience growth.
- Blackmagic Design ran its own seminar stage with demonstrations of ATEM ISO models and DaVinci Resolve.
The paid sessions in 2026 were ticketed AI Training and PPW Europe sessions. Speakers in 2026 came from organisations including the BBC, ITN, Channel 4, Ofcom, ITV Studios Netherlands and Warner Bros. Discovery.
Features and networking
The 2027 show gives you a Podcast Studio, the MPTS Show Bar and a Pub Garden. The organiser says more features will be announced closer to the show.
Exhibiting at MPTS
You can choose how much of your stand you build yourself, with three types on offer:
- Space Only: you build your own stand.
- Shell Scheme: a stand that is already built for you.
- Zone Pod: a simple ready-to-use option in some specialist areas of the show.
