At Spring Fair you can source home, gift, garden and fashion ranges from more than 1,500 brands and suppliers over four days at NEC Birmingham each February. The organiser, Hyve, runs it as a wholesale buying show for retailers and says over 40,000 buyers attend, coming from independents, department stores, garden centres, museum shops and buying groups.
Spring Fair 2027 dates and opening times
You get four days to cover the show in 2027, from Sunday 7 to Wednesday 10 February. Doors open at 9am on all four days, closing at 6pm from Sunday to Tuesday and at 4pm on the Wednesday.
Free admission and registration
Entry is free if you are a retail professional, and registering online takes about two minutes, with proof that you work in the industry. The show is trade only and closed to the general public.
- Students on relevant courses at undergraduate level or above may visit with an NUS card or equivalent ID, but may not trade.
- The organiser advises against bringing children under 16, as there is no crèche. Any under-16s need a child wristband collected on site.
- Most keynotes, trend presentations and seminars are included free, though some workshops and smaller sessions need booking in advance.
Product areas
You can head straight to the part of the floor that fits your shop, as it is arranged into four destinations, Home & Design, Gift, Fashion and Everyday, split into 19 sub-sectors. Categories listed by the organiser include jewellery, beauty and wellbeing, greetings and stationery, party, Christmas and seasonal, and toys, play and kids. Everyday is the area for volume and bulk wholesale lines, from household basics to outdoor activity products and baby care.
From 2027 you can also see the Pure London fashion show, which joins Spring Fair at the NEC on the same dates, forming a combined fashion destination. Our guide on what a co-located exhibition ticket covers explains how to confirm access to each part of a joint event.
Talks, mentoring and buyer services
You can hear from 130 or more retail speakers, as the organiser quotes, across five stages, and ten editorial tracks have been announced for 2027. Named spaces include the Heart of Retail Stage in Hall 5, the Style Studio for fashion in Hall 2, the Masterclass Studio in Hall 3 and a Licensing Studio run with Total Licensing in Hall 5. You can also book a free 30-minute session at the 1-2-1 Mentoring Clinic or a consultation with Faire on online wholesale, and Buyers Clubhouses in Halls 3 and 5 give you a comfortable base within the show.
Sessions at the 2026 edition featured speakers from Liberty on licensing its prints, QVC on live commerce, Tesco’s F&F on fashion merchandising, Anthropologie Europe on buying, WilkinsonEyre on the Battersea Power Station restoration, and Google workshops on using AI in marketing. The 2027 theme is “Love Letter to Retail”, with installations planned around the halls.
Exhibiting at Spring Fair
As an exhibitor you reach a visitor base in which, the organiser reports, 86% hold purchasing power, and it names Dunelm, John Lewis, Oliver Bonas and Dobbies among visiting buyers. The show sits alongside other retail and gift trade shows as a route to wholesale buyers, and manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, designers and brands can apply. You fill in a stand enquiry form, after which the sales team discusses stand options, locations and prices with you. If you are a first-time exhibitor or a young brand, New Business Pavilions give you a place in the Gift, Greetings, Beauty & Wellbeing, Home, Living & Decor and Fashion areas. The organiser’s exhibitor page compares the show with Top Drawer, held at Olympia London from 10 January 2027, and Harrogate Christmas & Gift. First-time exhibitors may find our guide to shell scheme or space only useful when weighing stand types.
Getting to the NEC
You can park free as a registered visitor, using a Spring Fair code to pre-book. Shuttles run from every car park to the main exhibition hall, and Blue Badge spaces are available. Birmingham International station is linked to the halls by a covered walkway, and the free Air-Rail Link reaches it from Birmingham Airport in 90 seconds.
