Harrogate Christmas & Gift

At Harrogate Christmas & Gift you can buy festive collections and gift lines from over 90 exhibitors, according to its show page, at a trade-only fair held each January at Harrogate Convention Centre. The organiser bills it as the first major buying event of the year and lists five product areas: Christmas and gift, Halloween, gifts, food gifts, and home and garden.

Dates and opening times for 2027

You get four days to buy, from Sunday 10 to Wednesday 13 January 2027. Doors open at 9am each day and close at 6pm from Sunday to Tuesday, with an earlier 4pm finish on the Wednesday. Entry is restricted to the trade, and you sign up as a buyer through the Register to Visit link on the show website. The organiser says it cannot issue letters of invitation to overseas visitors who need a visa.

The same week, Top Drawer at Olympia London also opens on 10 January 2027.

Who you will meet and what you can buy

You can source ranges that sell all year as well as Christmas stock. The show page names independent retailers, mail order buyers, garden centres, promotion agencies, department stores, and wholesale and volume buyers as the intended audience. The September 2026 preview adds visitor attractions and destination retailers to that list. Although Christmas stock is the core, the organiser says many stands carry ranges that sell all year, such as home fragrance, wellness gifts, stationery, home accessories and contemporary giftware.

Companies named in the 2027 preview include Joe Davies, Floralsilk, Widdop & Co and Snowlodge, alongside smaller suppliers Namaste UK, Ling Design, Penny Kennedy, Arthur Cameron and Eurowrap. First-time exhibitors announced for 2027 are ArtiTree, Fargo, Gem Imports and Puckator. You can search the exhibitor and brand list on the official site. Halls and layout

You can plan your route around the 2027 hall plans, which cover Halls A, B, C, D, G, H, M and Q plus the Queen’s Suite. Hall G was new for the 2025 edition, and the organiser announced in June 2024 that Kaemingk would move its stand there. A news item from January 2025 identifies Playwrite as the fair’s longest-standing exhibitor.

After-show party

You can meet people after hours here. At the 2026 edition the organisers held it in the Royal Hall on Monday 12 January from 6pm to 9pm, with music, food and free drinks, open to both exhibitors and visitors. The organiser says 2027 party details will follow.

Exhibiting

You get the same published stand rates in every hall, and you should plan to book early. Priority booking for 2027 opened on 20 March 2026, and a September 2025 news item reported that the previous edition was almost full more than four months before opening. The rates are:

A 25% deposit is invoiced and due within 30 days, and only payment secures your chosen site. Companies that withdraw after 1 October lose all money paid, and unpaid stands cannot be built. Electrics and other extras are ordered through the online exhibitor manual, which opens in September with contractor details. Getting there

You can reach Harrogate by road, rail or air, and the organiser says hotels and restaurants are within walking distance. The show site gives road routes via the A1 or M1 to Wetherby then the A661, the A59 from Preston, and the M62 and M606 to Bradford then the A658 or A61. Trains from London Kings Cross reach Harrogate via Leeds or York, with one direct service a day, and a bus runs from Leeds Bradford Airport to Harrogate Bus Station. You can plan other buying trips around this fair. The convention centre also hosts the Home & Gift Buyers’ Festival from 18 July 2027 and Harrogate Fashion Week from 7 February 2027. In the same month, Spring Fair opens at NEC Birmingham on 7 February 2027.
