Planning notes
LBF describes itself as primarily a trade show. Its International Rights Centre (IRC) is the space set aside for publishers, agents and scouts to negotiate rights, co-editions and licensing. The organiser states that it cannot arrange meetings for authors to pitch to agents, although it runs author-focused programming.
For suppliers to publishers, such as printers, distributors and technology firms, the useful preparation is a target list of publishers by size and list type, with meetings booked before the fair.
